2022 Super 2 Champion set for TA2 Enduro debut

2022 Super2 Series champion and 2025 Brad Jones Racing co-driver Declan Fraser is the next high profile driver to be named for the TA2 Muscle Car Series Tag Team Enduro, combining with friend Hayden Jackson in the #81 Dodge Challenger, the only Challenger entered for the August 15-17 event at Queensland Raceway.

Fraser, currently competing in the GT World Challenge Australia and signed on for the 2025 Supercars endurance season, brings a wealth of experience and versatility across multiple racing categories.

Fraser said he’s been looking at TA2 and Trans Am for a while now and is super excited to have a crack at the ever popular category.

"I’ve been keeping an eye on the TA2 Muscle Car Series for quite a while now and there are so many drivers performing at a high level across both TA2 and Trans Am, so when Hayden asked me to jump in, I was really keen to have a crack."

"I’m feeling good after the test day because they’re really raw race car, which I love. The back of the car feels similar to a Supercar, so it’s great to get some seat time leading into the Supercars enduro season. It’s a pretty stacked field, but hopefully Hayden and I can put our heads together and come away with a strong result."

After a challenging start to the season, Jackson currently sits 15th in the championship but is steadily gaining confidence as he comes to terms with the car's setup.

Fraser and Jackson last competed against each other in the Toyota 86 Series in recent years and said he’s looking forward to a valuable learning experience this weekend.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun driving with Declan again. We used to race together in the 86 Series, but now with the experience he’s gained he’s a few steps ahead of us. We’ll take the opportunity to not only have fun but also learn from him and see what kind of results we can achieve,” he said

“I reached out to Declan about three months ago to float the idea, and he got back to me almost straight away saying he was keen. It’s a seriously competitive field, so we’re just aiming for some positive and consistent results.”

Round five of the TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series presented by Maritimo Luxury Yachts is the headline act for the Hi-Tec Super Series and kicks off August 15-17 at Queensland Raceway. Saturday and Sunday’s action can be watched live and free to air on SBS Free to Air, SBS On Demand and simulcast to Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.
