4 Bathurst 1000 Winners on the Grid for TA2 Tag Team Enduro

The third running of the TA2 Muscle Cars Tag Team Enduro will now see 4 Bathurst 1000 winners on the grid with confirmation Paul Morris and Brodie Kostecki will team up for the event at Queensland Raceway August 15-17.

Morris, a winner in 2014 and Kostecki a winner in 2025, also join Kostecki’s 2025 winning partner Todd Hazelwood, plus 7-time winner and motorsport legend Craig Lowndes (96, 06, 07, 08, 10, 15, 18) in easily the deepest talent field seen for a TA2 Racing Australia event.

Neither Morris or Kostecki are strangers to the TA2 vehicle platform, with Kostecki driving a Camaro and claiming the podium in his only appearance in the Trans Am series, ironically at Queensland Raceway in 2022, but it was Morris who first floated the idea late last week and said with the car sitting in the shed we figured we should probably go racing.

"I floated the idea to Brodie last week, the car was sitting in the workshop, and I figured we should go racing. I’ve done a few laps in Nash’s TA2 car about 18 months ago and Brodie’s last run in a TA2 Camaro saw him on the podium at Queensland Raceway. We haven’t had a chance to test on the new tyres, so there are a few unknowns, but we’re going there to have a proper crack and chase a strong result."

Kostecki will have plenty of miles under his belt with the Queensland Raceway round of the Supercars Series this weekend and said he is excited to go out and have some fun in a competitive car.

"Paul floated the idea to me last week while we were in the workshop, and it came together pretty quickly from there. I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel and have some fun. It’s great to see Paul racing in a competitive car again, he’s been doing a solid job in the V8 SuperUte Series but teaming up with him in something like this is pretty special."

"Paul’s been a huge mentor throughout my career, so to finally share a car with him in a proper race is something I’ve always looked forward to. I can’t wait to see how we stack up."

Promoters of the third running of the TA2 Tag Team Enduro have already announced Craig Lowndes, George Miedecke, Todd Hazelwood, Nash Morris, Aaron Seton and Tim Slade as notable entries with further announcements expected this week.

The format will see a sprint race for each of the team drivers both Saturday and Sunday while two 45-minute enduro races will feature a compulsory driver change mid race with the team that has accumulated the most points over all 6 races declared the winner of the 2025 QLD Raceway TA2 Tag Team Enduro. Grid positions for the mini enduro races will be determined on how each driver performs in their own individual sprint races.

Round five of the TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series presented by Maritimo Luxury Yachts is the headline act for the Hi-Tec Super Series and kicks off August 15-17 at Queensland Raceway. Saturday and Sunday’s action can be watched live and free to air on SBS Free to Air, SBS On Demand and simulcast to Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.
